Respect your ancestors – They will shower blessings on you

Noble souls always do great tasks and spend their entire life in the service of others. They help others as long as they are in the mortal body and continue to guide the deserving people even after relinquishing their physical body. We can see innumerable people benefit from the guidance provided by such great souls.

When noble people leave their bodies, they reach the ‘Pitra loka’. These ancestors provide guidance and advice to deserving people. Descriptions about such incidents can be found in many great works of literature. We get a detailed analysis of such incidents from books like ‘Mysteries of Unexplained’ and ‘Invisible Helpers’. In our country, we can see that the invisible help provided by noble souls gets published quite frequently. Some souls choose a worthy instrument and complete their incomplete tasks through him/her and also give him/her the entire credit for doing the work.

In this context, one incident of a soul offering such help is quite exciting. This is an incident that occurred in the year 1967. There was a Victorian style mansion on the shores of river Hudson. That mansion was believed to be haunted by ghosts and nobody dared to live in it. A lady named Mrs. Eckle bought that house and began to live in it along with her family. One night, she heard the footsteps of many subtle-bodied souls moving around in the house. Eckle was ready to run in fear. But the ghosts assured her that their intention was not to frighten her. Eckle asked about their introduction and the answer she received was astounding. They replied that they were her ancestors and have deliberately inspired her to live in that house in order to complete an incomplete task. They told Eckle about many facts of her previous life and she began see the truth in their words. They helped Eckle in several instances and were eager to help her in any kind of dire circumstances.

In Brazil, there was a farmer’s son by name Erigo who had gained immense fame in the field of ‘Occult Medicine’. When he was studying in school, he used to complain of headaches and they proved to be incurable by any means. Some disembodied spirits who were healers in their previous lives used to visit him in his dreams and suggest remedies for his ailment, but Erigo ignored them. This continued for five years. One day he decided to ardently request these spirits about his health condition. He met the spirit of a doctor named Edolfo Fritz who was killed during the First World War. That German doctor was a kind-hearted person and never refused help to the needy. He wanted to continue this good work using Erigo as the medium. He told Erigo that his headache would be cured only when he started serving people suffering from diseases.

Edolfo’s spirit asked Erigo to operate on his ailing neighbour. That patient was suffering from lung cancer and did not have many days to live. Erigo performed the surgery as directed by Edolfo’s spirit and the patient survived and became healthy. This was nothing less than a miracle. From then on, surgery became Erigo’s daily schedule and continued from year 1956 till the end of his life. In 1963, a team of renowned medical experts came to investigate on his method of curing the people. As a part of the experiment, 1000 people were called out of which 505 patients had referral cards from their respective doctors. Erigo just touched the afflicted part of the patient with a knife and the person would get cured. This continued for all the 505 patients. This entire episode was recorded in a video. He could perform this impossible and miraculous task with the help of the spirit of Edolfo.

There are several such incidences that have occurred in our own country. There was a middle-aged illiterate farmer in a village in Rajasthan. He was an ordinary god-fearing farmer who had not done any special sadhanas. One day, when he went out to the lake to take bath, he fell down, broke his skull and blood spurted out like a fountain. He was left in an unconscious state for several hours. When he was admitted to the hospital and regained consciousness, he spoke of things that left everyone dumbfounded. He said that he came in contact with several great souls when he was unconscious. Those souls had come out for a stroll and came to help when they saw him in an unconscious state. Among them, one of the spirits told him that it wanted to compose an occult book and wanted to get it done through him as a medium.

The uneducated village farmer readily agreed to do it. With the inspiration of the exalted disembodied spirit, he composed a book on Saraswati. This occult book contained mantras and their method of sadhana was so secret that it was impossible to write it without the guidance of a special adept. How did all this become possible? How could an uneducated farmer compose such a masterpiece?

There are many things in this universe which cannot be rationally explained. Souls of ancestors are present and if we show due respect to them, they will shower their grace on us. All we have to do is to increase our worthiness. All that is necessary is to be empathetic to others’ sufferings and needs and rise above our selfishness. In such a case, noble souls desirous of serving humanity will use us as their mediums and shower us with the boon of being helpful to others.
