Know More about Pujya Gurudev

A True Seeker of Spirituality
“Pujya Gurudev Acharya Pt. Shrirams Sharma was a great devotee of Gayatri. He had successfully practiced and mastered the highest kinds of sadhanas (spiritual endeavors) of Gayatri, Savitri and Kundalini. He had completed 24 mahapurashcharanas of Gayatri meditation with ascetic disciplines while also sincerely transacting his familial, social and national responsibilities”
. There is no parallel to this kind of sadhana ever performed by any one on this earth. He deciphered absolute knowledge of the philosophy and science of the Gayatri Mantra and hence that of the entire gamut of yoga and spirituality. He propagated this knowledge for the enlightenment of people across the globe without any discrimination of religion, caste, creed, sex, or social status.
Acharya Sharma had also pioneered experiments on simple sadhanas, which could be easily pursued by the people today. He had guided spiritual and intellectual refinement of millions of people by initiating such sadhanas of Gayatri.
Acharya Sharma also pioneered renaissance of the science of spirituality and established the foundation for its creative integration with the modern sciences. It was indeed a Herculean task given the trends of intellectual and scientific evolution since the past millennium and almost simultaneous deterioration of the institutions of religion and culture, which had resulted in a near total neglect of spirituality in human life and had led to all kinds of blind faiths, misconceptions, and prejudices…... The Brahmvarchas Research Centre established by Acharya Sharma in 1978 at Shantikunj Hardwar (India) stands as a live example of how his ideas could be implemented and researched in the modern laboratories.
Pujya Gurudev Said :-
''My life story can act as a lighthouse for genuine seekers of Truth. It is a way of life adopted by a rational and a realistic person and there is nothing obscurantic and pretentious in it. Stigma of failure cannot also be attributed to it. Persons who seriously try to understand that there could be a true path to attain the goal of soul-awakening, who do not fall into the trap of illusion of short-cuts, would not meet with disappointment and disillusionment. Had such persons read my story, understood the spiritual philosophy underlying it and followed the process of self-growth prescribed therein, it is certain that the number of such misled and confused persons would have been far less than what it is today.''   = Yugrishi    -Acharya Shriram Sharma .

Shape your own destiny = Pujya Gurudev

Shape your own destiny
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya
We might find arguments in our defence and justify putting the blames on others and the circumstances, for our misery and flaws. This may only give us momentary satisfaction, but would not solve the problem or improve the situation any further. The reality in essence is that –– we alone are responsible for the state of our life. Whatever be our favorable or troubling circumstances today, these are the outcomes of our own good or bad karmas. Indeed one’s destiny is shaped by his own conduct, his own actions in the present or the past lives.
This absolute fact of destiny is explained in the Upanishads as – “Human mind alone is the principle cause and means of all thraldom and sufferings and also of blissful salvation in human life. No enemy is more dangerous than the maligned and astray mind. It is also true that there is no friend, no mentor better than the enlightened mind”.

Know about Pujya Gurudev - II

Architect of Bright Future
" Pujya Gurudev Pt. ShriRam Sharma Acharya known as Architect of New Era & Bright Future Of world " Read More about Pujya Gurudev :-

At crucial moments in the history of mankind there is the rare phenomenon of the Divine Power taking human form endowed with extraordinary multi-dimensional faculties, capable of raising the consciousness of whole humanity to a higher, nobler, expanded self-awareness. Such a divine manifestation combines in himself attributes of both, a reformer and a mystic, a philosopher and guide.
Such has been the life of Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya, the patron founder of Gayatri Pariwar, who gave to humanity the message and assurance of the imminent advent of a Golden era on earth when love, peace, goodwill, understanding will reign supreme in human life. During his eighty year span of earthly life he tirelessly worked for and laid the foundation of the new era. He was helped in his Herculean divinely assigned task by his soul-mate Mata Bhagwati Devi. Both of them have now withdrawn to the subtle and causal realms of existence and continue to inspire the process of advent of new era.

It is for the future historian to make an objective assessment of Acharyaji's greatness. However, the
Gayatri Pariwar fraternity, Gayatri Teerth - Shantikunj and other establishments, Millions of devoted parijans are testimony enough to the greatness of This Selfless Soul , whose relentless pursuit  for upliftment of entire humanity has no parallel.
The mission’s fraternity at Shantikunj, Hardwar – an academy for moral and spiritual awakening and training…, Brahmvarchas Research Centre (also in Hardwar) for creative integration of the modern science with spirituality, other major establishments – Gayatri Tapobhumi, Mathura, Akhand Jyoti Sansthan, Mathura, Janmbhumi Sthan at Anvalkheda, Agra, Dev Sanskriti University and over 3000 distributed social reform centres (called Shakti Pithas or Pragya Mandalas) are engaged in making Acharya Sharma’s dream of “revival of divine culture and global welfare” come true.

All prominent persons of clear vision have predicted in their own way that the coming years were most crucial and critical. In Bible there is reference to ‘Seven Times’ as the time of destruction of the world. It coincides with the present times. In Islam there is reference to a great crisis in the fourteenth century of the Hijri Era. Bhavishya Parana has also predicted outbreak of catastrophic conditions during these days. Similar prophecies have been made in Guru Granth Sahib. The famous poet, Soordas has foretold about the world facing calamities during these days. There are similar forebodings in the carvings on the pyramids of Egypt. Several Indian prophets have also made such prophecies on spiritual as well as on astrological basis.
Soothsayers like Jeane Dixon, Prof. Harary Anderson, John Baverie, Cheiro, Arthur Clerk, Nostradamus, Mother Shrimpton, Anandacharya, who have great influence in the western countries and whose predictions have been ninety-nine percent correct, have also predicted horrible possibilities.
In an international conference of occultists held sometime back in Korea, similar dreadful possibilities were hinted at. A conference of the specialists of the whole world in the science of future foretelling (futurologists) was held in Toronto, Canada in which it was stated that we are very close to a holocaust. Those who are said to be experts in the science of astronomy have expressed the view that the spots appearing on the Sun and frequency of solar eclipses will have harmful effects on the life on earth. The appearance of the comet named ‘Hailee’ in the beginning of 1985 is also said to be harmful to the inhabitants of the earth on account of its poisonous gases.
People having ordinary common sense know that due to exponential growth in human population not only food and water will become scarce but people will not get even space to live in and walk on. Due to over-industrialization and mechanization, air and water have become poisonous and scarce. Mineral oil, metals and coal will not last even for fifty years more. On account of radiation due to nuclear explosions the present and future generations will suffer from dangerous diseases like cancer. If there is outbreak of a nuclear war, not only humanity but also other species and vegetation will be wiped out. The imbalance in temperature is likely to create storms in the oceans on account of melting of ice in the Polar Regions. Thus, the prospects of the return of ice-age are being predicted. The sum and substance of all this is that there is definitely going to be some terrible turmoil and upheaval. Thus one can easily imagine about the possibility of destruction before new-creation, of melting before molding.

Know About Pujya Gurudev

A Father, A Guru , Yugrishi Pt. Shri Ram Sharma Acharya
It is remarkable to note :-
how the determined pledge of a single person (Acharya Sharma), Yug Nirman Yojana , has brought billions of people together in Gayatri Pariwar for the same purpose…. This grand organization has grown and is expanding without the support of any governmental or non-governmental funding or donations by rich bigwigs. The small sums and pennies contributed by millions of its members on regular basis have played remarkable role in strengthening its financial resources. Generous devotion of talents and labors by these true followers of Acharya Sharama, ensure the successful progress of Yug Nirman Yojana.
The activities of this mission rebuilt our faith in the miraculous strength of collective endeavors for altruist purposes. The details given in this volume would further educe our hopes in the possibilities of resurrection of human dignity even in the present times of – deterioration of cultural and social system and a near total crisis of faith in moral values.
The distinct excellence of
Acharya Sharma’s approach lies in the fact that he encourages natural escalation of people’s bodily, mental, intellectual and spiritual potentials by inspiring their conscious and unconscious minds…. This way, every man and woman can rise consistently from whatever his present level is, by adopting what Acharya Sharma calls – “the art of living”, and by sincerely following the simple disciplines and practices of self-analysis, self-restrain, self-evaluation and Pragya Yoga taught by him in several volumes of the Vangmaya series.….
As the collective and continuous motion of waves in an ocean expands beyond every limit, similarly, the collective and progressive endeavors of refinement and elevation pursued by the individuals can lead to the grand awakening and transmutation of collective consciousness along the limitless grandeur of the divine origin of humanity. This is how the currently “unimaginable” objective of resurrection of a bright era, is expected to be achieved in the next millenium.
Writing and publication of magazines, books, literature etc. for refinement of the minds and attitudes of the people in accordance with the ideals of Yug-cetna.
(1) To inspire and provide guidance to truly aspiring souls to adopt a way of life in accordance with Yug-dharma (needs of the Time Spirit);(2) To give advice to those who have turned to me for guidance and counselling for elevating their souls to enable them to overcome their personal difficulties and build a happy future based on high principles.
Innumerable persons came in my contact and a majority of them were changed, enlightened and benefited. It is not possible to describe the events and mention the names of such persons since it is not my habit to do so. Moreover, it will become a voluminous book even if only certain events which I still remember are reduced into writing. But the persons concerned may object to it. The practice of expressing gratitude is almost extinct now. It will, therefore, not be proper on my part to say anything about these events. Besides, by disclosing the bounty of good deeds, the efficacy of the virtue gets diminished.
There is, however, no doubt that these services have been very effective. Uptill now (1989), more than twenty-four lakh persons are associated with Pragya parivar. However the number of those  who have been deeply influenced by the principles and ideals of the mission would be around one-third. Majority of them consists of those persons who have received enlightenment, affection, help, advice and divine gifts from me in their personal life. They had come rushing to me greatly worried and afflicted with grave problems and returned with solace and peace. This is the reason that such a large family has been built up. If it was all based on mere ideology and principles, the membership of
Gayatri parivar would have remained limited like Arya samaj and Sarvodaya samaj and the atmosphere of personal intimacy and cordiality would not have been established. There had been much pressure on Mataji on account of rush of visitors, their arrival at odd times and in making arrangements for their stay, food etc. Despite all these inconveniences we have been amply rewarded by the affection and love which we have earned in return. All that we have done for the people is being repaid with interest in the form of this affection and love. Thus it cannot be said to be a losing proposition.

Hindu Scriptures = Pujya Gurudev

Know More About Vedas
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya
Sruti scriptures include the primary scriptures of Hinduism known as the Vedas. The Vedas teach the highest truths ever known to man, and form the supreme authority of Hinduism. The word Veda is derived from the root word 'Vid,' meaning 'to know.'
Sruti in Sanskrit means 'that which is heard.' Thus the Vedas are the eternal truths that the Vedic seers, called rishis, are said to have heard during their deep meditations. The Vedas are not considered the works of the human mind, but an expression of what has been realized through intuitive perception by Vedic rishis. As such, Vedas are considered of divine origin. The Vedic truths were orally inherited by the rishis to their disciples over thousands of years. Finally , these were compiled by Sage Krishna Dwepayan Vyas, popularly known as Ved Vyas,  for the benefit of future generations.
The Vedas are the primary texts of the spiritual and religious records of the ancient culture and teachings of India. Their teachings are based upon recognition of the sacred nature of all life and self-realization as the true goal of human life. Hindus call the Vedas by several names, such as apaurusheya (meaning 'not authored by purusha, or human being'), anadi ('without beginning in terms of time').
As a culture and way of life, the Vedas represent a tradition that accepts all valid approaches to truth and embodies the principles of universality and diversity. The Vedas prescribe rituals and meditations far attaining harmony in life. The rituals are intended to keep our daily actions in harmony with the Divine Will, and meditations are prescribed for realizing our real self. The ritualistic parts of the Vedas are called the Karma Khanda and the meditation portion of the Vedas is called the Gyan Khanda.

Solutions to your problems III =Pujya Gurudev

Three Bodies - Gross subtle Causal
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya
Brahma started his work and created two kinds of creation, Chaitanya (animate) and Jad (inanimate). All living beings having desire, consciousness and ego fall under Chaitanya creation. This is an independent creation which is known as Pranmaya-kosh of the universe. Chaitanya (animate) element pervades the entire universe and is known as Pran.
Ideas, will and emotions are three attributes of Pran-tatva which constitute the three coverings (bodies) of the soul astral (Sukshma), causal (Karan) and physical (Sthool). All living beings owe their consciousness and existence to this Pran-tatva.

Indian Scriptures = Pujya Gurudev

What Indian Culture Is?
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya
The Indian culture is described as 'Sa Prathama Sanskrati Vishvavara' --- the first and the supreme culture in the world.  It is honored as a divine culture.  Today, when the country is undergoing  haywire transformations on cultural front and  facing cultural diversion and adulteration  --- the influence of occidental civilization and commercialization has over shadowed the way of life of even those who vaunt for the great cultural heritage of India…., it  has become more important to review the original form and expansion of the Indian culture, analyze its foundation-principles in scientific light and present in detail its different aspects, which deal with the day to day life of people and which are useful for the righteous progress of the world…..
The core of Indian culture, as shaped by the revered rishis, revolves around the principle of  'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' --- treating the entire world as our own family, which reflects universality of serene love, altruism, sharing of responsibilities and caring for all beings…..
The central theme of Indian cultural development has evolved from the Indian philosophy of continuity of life and realization of the soul as a manifestation of divine impulse…. Successive refinement of human consciousness by elimination of animal instincts and evil tendencies of the mind and enlightenment of  its inner cores  was therefore given maximum importance by the rishis. The system of  shodas samskaras was devised by them for this purpose.
The shodas samskaras, performed at different stages of human life, aim at continuous refinement and escalation of the individual self.  The methods of performing these samskaras and adoption of associated disciplines in personal and social life constitute an important component of  Indian cultural system.
It is a culture of this type which produces true saints, altruist social reformers, martyrs, great personalities, intellectuals, scientists and spiritual masters of the kinds of the rishis, who, like angels, bestow the world with divine grace through their noble deeds and ascetic characters….. The purity of intrinsic faith and arousal of inner sentiments are regarded most important for the realization of divinity existing in the inner self.  The methods of upasana prescribed under the Indian cultural principles lend excellent support in this direction. The source of aspirations and happiness and the ultimate core of sentiments --- the inner self too gets refined and charged by the devotional practices of upasana and it experiences absolute peace and blissfulness.
The principles pertaining to --- (i) ascetic control of mental tendencies; (ii) adoption of honesty, generosity, mutual trust, healthy cooperation, morality and integrity of character and deeds; (iii) altruist service; (iv) sincere fulfillment of responsibilities towards the family, society, nation and the world; (v) courageous attitude and endeavors to fight against injustice, immorality, exploitation, superstition, communalism, castism and similar kinds of  negative  tendencies  and effects  in the personal and social domains; and (vi) concrete efforts for healthy maintenance of the ecosystem and purification of the environment of life, etc --- are fundamental to the creative practices propagated under the banner of Indian culture.
How the above mentioned 'virtual idealism' could be naturally assimilated in the activities and behavioral transactions of daily life?  This has been the focus of what constitutes the 'traditions' of the Indian culture.
The word 'culture' is a literal translation of  the word 'sanskrati' in Sanskrit language.  According to Sanskrit grammar,  the word 'sanskrati' means --- that action, method or system  which has (or which pertains to)  virtuous  tendencies…. Restraining of the agile mind and cultivation of virtuous tendencies in it is emphasized in the Bharteeya Sanskrati (Indian Culture) because mind is the sole source of orientation of one's attitude, deeds and character.  The subtle impulses of consciousness are expressed in the intellect, thoughts and sentiments via the medium of the four inner layers of mind --- namely,  mana, buddhi, citta and ahamkara.
Because of its sound footing on the in-depth knowledge of human psychology and science of spirituality, the Indian philosophy adequately deals with unlimited expansion of  different aspects of human life --- including those at the most personal to those at the global levels….. Because, Nature and every form of existence has also been treated here as a manifestation of universal consciousness, the materialistic  domain of the world and the nature, functions and activities of  the gross body too fall within the consideration of  this philosophy. The original structure and relevance of the Indian culture is therefore regarded as universal….
The systems of  varna and ashram prescribed  by the rishis are often subjected to the criticism of rational thinkers and intellectuals of the modern age.  This is because, the popular interpretations and the information available on these aspects of  Indian culture indicates them as nurturing castism, social discrimination, evasion from responsibilities, etc…. Acharya   Sharma has paid special attention to these important issues. He has cited excerpts from the original scriptures and given authentic references and explanation of what is exactly meant by the terms Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra described as the four varnas. The fundamentalists, the orthodox scholars and the advocates of castism will not find any reasonable counter-argument to reject his interpretations and  adept analysis.
Guru --- spiritual mentor, Gayatri --- the Gayatri Mantra, origin of all Vedas, Ganga --- the holy Ganges, Gau (cow) and Geeta  are the five fundamental elements which lie at the core of  the development and practices of the  Indian culture.  It is through these roots that the stout tree of  divine Indian culture had blossomed  in the ancient times of yore and has maintained its 'greenery' age after age despite turbulent fluctuations in people's faith, convictions, cultural values and modes of living…..  Implementation of the divine cultural principles becomes possible in every dimension of life with the support of  Guru, Gayatri , Geeta, Gau and Ganga at the spiritual, philosophical and worldly levels.
This volume gives information on the constructive efforts inspired by the patron founder of Yug Nirman Mission, Shantikunj Haridwar for the revival of  the divine Indian culture.

Only in the Vedic religion, these ashrams of 25 years each have been categorised and this is the speciality of the Vedic stream of thought. The word brahmacharya is made of two words i.e. ‘brahma’ or God and ‘aacharan’ means conduct. Thus it implies the conduct as followed by God. The second Meaning of brahmacharya is celibacy.

But reading the views of the rishis in Ayurvedic scriptures tells us how deeply and comprehensively they had looked at every aspect of health vis-a-vis our physical organism and environment.
The last two articles dealt with health-promoting activities of daily routine. Before we proceed further in the sequence, let us look at the noble purpose of the founders of Ayurveda to realize the majestic strength and grandeur of knowledge this science of healthy life holds in its roots. The great rishis the devoted seekers of God, the scientists of ultimate knowledge, the true followers of eternal religion had developed Ayurveda for pure altruistic purpose (of human welfare) and not for any materialistic gain. Today's scenario is just the opposite. Read.

What should be our food? What Ayurveda says about the role of food in maintenance of vigorous health. Healthy food is compared with nectar in the vedic scriptures. At the same time, the scriptures also alert us to be careful about the quality of food, which apart from the gross and subtle properties of the ingredients, also depends upon the way it is earned, prepared and eaten. Health Tips: Guidelines from Ayurveda V (The science of leading a long, happy and healthful life)

While discussing with rishi Punarvasu the author of "Charak Samhita", some vaidyas (Ayurvedic doctors) raised the query "Koruka?" (Meaning: "who does not fall ill?"). Somebody said " one who eats chyavanprash every morning". "Who takes lavan bhaskar and triphala regularly" said some others; eating chandravati every day was described by another vaidya as the source of health. Finally the fundamental principle of natural maintenance of good health was expressed by Vagbhatt as "Hitbhuka, Mitbhuka, Ritbhuka". Hitbhuk: means.

Health Tips: Guidelines from Ayurveda VI (Spiritual Effects of Food)

For most of us, food is meant to be only for satisfying hunger and nourishing the body. However, as per Vedic Scriptures, what we eat and drink significantly, though subliminally, affect our subtle and astral bodies as well. For instance, the Chhandogya Upanishad says "Aharashuddhau Sattvashuddhih..."  Meaning: Purity of food helps in purifying the inner self. Purification of the inner self and hence of the mind and intellect, accelerates elimination of illusions and ignorance...

This article we shall focus upon what should be the ideal routine since evening till early morning (called ratricharya). The following shlokas provide guidelines on the major aspects and activities pertaining to the ratricharya including late evening routine, going to bed, sleep, dream, disciplines of chastity, etc. Wise men and women avoid the following five activities during the first of the four phases of night eating, sleeping, general reading or studying, sexual activities, and roving away from the house.

Health Tips: Guidelines from Ayurveda-VIII (Health tips for Sleep)

Here we highlight some more health tips especially those pertaining to sleep. Cleanliness of nightdress or the clothes worn while going to the bed is also emphasized in Ayurveda. One should preferably avoid wearing the same clothes, which one has been wearing during the day. The clothes on the body should be loose while sleeping. The bed should be neat and tidy; the sheets covering the body and the bed should also be clean. According to the adepts of Ayurveda, the mattresses and bed-sheets should be made up of cotton. Use of foam, sponge, nylon etc for long is harmful. As far as possible, one should develop the habit of sleeping on a thin mattress; only a mat with bed-sheet should be enough in the summer..

Ayurvedic treatment emphasizes more on fasting and diet restraint rather than on consuming medicines to fight out the diseases. Ayurveda asserts that half the disease is cured simply by appropriate diet control. As the principles of diagnostics and therapeutics under Ayurveda are based on the identification of the level of tridoshas vata, pitta and kapha, so are the disciplines of fasting and diet. Let us first look at the recommended diet for the maintenance of generally good health. Followed by this are some common guidelines for major classes of diseases and disorders due to the three doshas. What is generally recommended as good or edible?

Science behind Dream= Pujya Gurudev

Science behind Dream
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya
The science of spirituality defines mind as a ‘sense organ’ of the soul. Dreams are identified as the expressions of the signals transmitted or received by the inner cores of this subtle sensor.
Intensity and perspicuity of dreams and the depths of the knowledge conveyed by them increases with the sincerity, piety and spiritual radiance of mind. Systematic research on these deeper aspects of human psychology and the science of absolute consciousness would also help research on the rather esoteric topics like –– existence of life after physical death, reincarnation, eternity of soul beyond space, time and energy, etc...
