Humanity -III; Pujya Gurudev

A Universal Religion for Humanity
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya
A selfless individual will be ready to bear any personal inconvenience or loss for the greater good of the society. Just the contrary, a selfish person will treat his self-interests above everything else and shall feel no guilt in performing actions that may cause great harm to the society. For this very reason, selfishness is criticized and selflessness is praised in every religion.
A self-centered person always thinks of himself and desires everything for himself. He looks at his wife and children also as a means to fulfill his selfish needs, and so looks after them. He desires of his wife’s services and benefits of children’s earnings in his old age or their performance of post-death rituals for him. A son is often loved more by such a father, because it is thought that he would bring dowry home in his marriage and will earn and look after the parents when he grows up. A daughter is often seen as a burden and is therefore given lesser privileges and looked down upon.
A selfish man will have no hesitation in relinquishing his wife if he does not like her because she is ugly, ill or unable to bear children. Such individuals do not hesitate in even committing heinous crimes like ‘selling’ their daughters, or appropriating wealth of their sisters. Such people do not feel pain or remorse in mercilessly killing animals and birds to satiate their tastes of tongue. Immoral conduct and ill deeds of criminals are nothing but extreme forms of ego and selfishness.
All the great persons in this world have been selfless. They have utilized and spent most of their energy for the welfare of others. They have been regarded as great men and women in the same proportion as their sacrifice of personal conveniences and comforts, and their acceptance of life full of difficulties to carry out benevolent deeds. Their glorious lives have been inscribed with honor on the pages of history from time to time. Saints and pious people are regarded as deities on the earth only because they take a vow to adopt virtuous practices of serving the society while subduing all selfish desires. Godly personas have always adopted the path of selfless and lovefilled service of society as an integral part of their sadhana.

Humanity = Pujya Gurudev

A Universal Religion for Humanity
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya
The basic principle of religiousness is that a person learns self-restraint, adopts simple living, becomes polite, and at the same time learns to share his potentials and possessions for the welfare of others. Firm faith in true religion educates, encourages and matures a man on this righteous path. As a result a religious person proves useful in a holistic sense, to himself as well as to humanity. This enhances his dignity. Others get encouraged to follow him. Those who come in his contact get opportunities and support to grow and gain happiness. In this way a pleasant ambience is generated which gradually spreads in the society and cultivates possibilities of peace, stability and collective progress. Exactly contrary to this, a person blinded by arrogance or selfishness, flouts moral rules and principles and creates difficulties for himself and also for many others who come in his contact.
Selfishness has been called the basis of sin, and selflessness that of virtuousness. This is so because a person blinded by selfishness gets so much engrossed in his narrow vested interests that he cannot think of doing anything for anybody’s good, and normally has no hesitation in breaking moral rules, and hurting public interests for his own narrow benefit. In contrast, a selfless and benevolent person gives importance to universal good and keeps personal gains to himself only to the extent that does not harm the social setup in any way. It is a man’s attitude and way of thinking alone that make the level of his actions superior or inferior.
A stout but self-centered and egotist individual would use his muscle-power in acts like wrestling, fighting, and ruling over the weaker ones. His narrow-mindedness would not let him think of anything beyond. If his self-indulgence increases further he will use his strength to commit crimes like stealing, dacoity, rowdyism, etc or in terrorizing others, extorting money from others, etc. In contrast, if a person builds up his body with selfless motives then he would deploy his physical strength for beneficial acts such as – service of the disabled, protection of the oppressed, rescue and relief operations in times of emergency or crisis, physical training and education, peace-keeping etc.
Same principle applies to acquiring the wealth of knowledge too. A self-seeking intelligent man would try to earn name and profit from each and every bit of his knowledge. He will not allow even a slight advantage of his knowledge to go to anybody else without some return. Whenever possible, he will not hesitate to lay traps to entangle simple people, befool them and grind his own axe. So before generalizing whether being knowledgeable is good or bad, it is necessary to ascertain the motive of an individual behind acquiring the knowledge.
The narrower the point of view, the more inferior will be the utilization of all acquisitions. In one way or the other, a self-obsessed person spends whatever he earns in fulfilling his own desires, or in acquiring sensual pleasures, or in increasing comforts of his family members only. He will not be able to spare his resources or efforts towards eliminating the ailments spread in the society like illiteracy, diseases, unemployment, poverty etc. It is another matter if somehow he has to part with some of his earnings unwillingly under duress, or with an interest to earn fame. In contrast, if wealth has been earned with a view to spend it for universal good, then after retaining the bare minimum – of whatever God has bestowed upon him – for self and family, a great enthusiasm and joy will be perceived by such a person in willingly returning the rest for the good of others.

Humanity = Pujya Gurudev

A Universal Religion for Humanity
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya
Man must continuously strive to enhance his qualifications, mental sharpness, skills, capabilities and prosperity. No one can deny the necessity of this materialistic progress. However it needs to be kept in mind that man’s progress should never be one-sided; materialistic progress needs to be combined with the furthering of good human qualities like gentleness, nobility, generosity and compassion as well. Only a balanced and coordinated physical and intellectual progress with a noble character can be beneficial.
It is true that an empty gunnysack cannot stand erect by itself and a man with an empty stomach would behave like a wolf. The saying ‘what all sins would a starving person not commit’ cannot be belied. So all efforts must be made to acquire economic, intellectual and all other kinds of prosperity, but it also must be kept in mind that single-tracked progress creates imbalance and that it does more harm than good. If someone’s affluence rises but virtues like modesty, gentleness and sensitivity do not grow, then the acquired wealth would not be used properly, would be drained in the mire of addictions and pompous showoff, or would be misused in harming others. In such cases, there may be prosperity on some fronts of life but it would only lead to complexities, problems and adversities in one form or the other.
A vehicle with one wheel big and the other small cannot move anywhere. A person with one leg thin and the other stout, one hand long and the other short, would not only look ugly, but his work efficiency would also be low. Both components that make a pair should be equal. It is necessary to enhance righteousness along with materialistic affluence. Happiness can last only if it is fairly shared with others. There is nothing wrong in earning wealth; but while spending it they also should be included who, for some reason, by themselves could not become prosperous like them. Eating up the earnings all alone leads to harmful indigestion.
The selfishness of unrestrained expenditure or unnecessary accumulation may be a sign of cleverness and success for some, but when the ill-effects of such narrow-mindedness are looked at, it becomes clear that adopting such a way of life seems gainful only in the short run; it eventually results in great harm. Everyone gets envious and jealous of a selfish person’s progress. It is natural to expect that those who gain more by the grace of God must become more kind and generously distribute the benefits of their accumulations to the entire society. Those who do not do so and indulge in narrow selfishness, even if they are not called guilty or offenders, actually break the universal rule of God’s creation in which it is expected that more prosperous and successful individuals would try to be more useful to the society.

The Magnetic Ocean Quavering in the Human Body
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya
Persons with strong character, willpower and bright and alert mind have a natural influence over their surroundings.  The subtle effects of their vital energy are also found to exist in the material things being used by them. Small children, because of lesser use of their vital energy, are more prone to the positive (or negative) effects of the good (or bad) personalities of their elders.  The biomagnetism of men and women of the same age group have a natural mutual attraction.  Sexual intercourse accounts for a loss in the vital energy of both.  The percentage of this   loss is more in men because of the ‘repulsive’ (outwardly oriented) nature of their biomagnetism as compared to the ‘attractive’ (inward) biomagnetic force of their opposite sex.  The sexual thoughts and feelings also cause a harmful effect as far as the loss of vital energy and its subtle strength are considered.  Control over such thoughts and acts, therefore, is necessary for the proper development and utilization of vital energy in spiritual practices.
Great personalities, truly endowed with spiritual powers, can even influence the inner self of others.  They carefully transmit their vital energy to the deserving devotees and bring miraculous changes in the latters’ personalities for the upliftment and welfare of many others thereby.
The powers of the blessings of ancient Indian sages and their abilities of saktipata and   Anudana signify the instances of the determined transmission of their ‘all-powerful’ vital strength.  The development of the glorious personalities like   Swami Vivekanada, Swami Dayananda Saraswati, King Chandragupta and King Shivaji by their spiritual masters are examples of the abovementioned subtle energy transmission process.
Many examples of prophecy, premonition, intuitions, clues in dreams etc are available in modern world history; which have resulted in miraculous escape from natural hazards, important scientific discoveries and resolutions of complicated criminal cases etc. in a significantly large number of incidents.  These also are manifestations of the subtle reception and transmission of the universal vital energy in human body, mind and consciousness.
The spiritual practices associated with the processes of subtle energy transfer (saktipata) are described in detail in the ancient Indian Scriptures viz, Yogachoodamani, Tejbindupnishada, Gyan Sankalini Tatva, Hathyoga Sanhita, Rudra Yamal Yantra, Yoga Kunkalyopnishada, Sharda Tilak, etc.

May the modern science carry out research in the light of these spiritual insights to make a fruitful use of the immense energy indwelling every human being towards global welfare and elevation of humanity?

The Magnetic Ocean Quavering in the Human Body
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya
In the recent past, a group of Parapsychologists headed by Dr. Thelma Moss has experimented on some spiritual healers including the celebrities like Dr. Marshal Warshey.  Dr. Warshey, a urologist by profession, was known in the Western world for creating ‘liveliness’ in the patients by a mere touch of his fingers.  Many otherwise incurable complaints of headaches were also reported to have been cured by this spiritual healer. Transcendental Energy Transmission :
The Basis of Latent Influence    The immense physical power of the vital energy has been discovered and investigated by different groups of scientists under different names such as — Biomagnetism, Bioplasm, Actoplasm, Bioflux etc.  The manifestation of this power is negligible in plants and other organisms as compared to that in the human beings. Dr. Kirlian and Dr. Thelma Moss have chromo-recorded these energy fields around the human body by using the Kirlian and Argon photographic techniques.  Theosophists call this ‘energy-cover’ as the Etheric Double.  The intensity of this Biomagnetism or vital energy field enhances with one’s spiritual growth.
The importance of the effects of keeping good or bad company is well known.  Apart from the information, suggestions and support given by a friend, the subtle influence of his/her personality plays a major role in creating positive or negative effects.  The influence of one’s personality, though subtle in nature, is as true as the effects of — warmth around the fire-place, fragrance around flowers or irritation caused by the burning of red chilly powder etc.

The Magnetic Ocean Quavering in the Human Body
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya
Noted psychologist Prof. Victor E. Kromar has investigated the role of mental power (will power) in controlling and utilizing the biomagnetic power of the human body.  The experiences and experiments of   Dr. Franz Anton Mesmer of Germany are well known in this regard.
Due to the non-availability of proper medicines, Dr. Mesmer once found himself helpless in controlling the excessive bleeding through a patient’s body.  In this desperate situation, Dr. Mesmer began to move his hand on the wounded spot; he observed that the bleeding miraculously stopped after a while.  Inspired by this incident, Dr. Mesmer conducted many experiments to study the associated effects.  He concluded that it is some kind of electromagnetic field existing in the tips of his finger that affects his patients’ bodies.  This power was given a name biomagnetism by him.  Dr. Mesmer’s research led to the foundation of   Mesmerism.  Later, Dr. Van Helmond also gained popularity because of his successful experiments on curing various mental and physical diseases by Mesmerism.
The pain-killing treatments given to the German dictator Adolf Hitler and his friend Heinrich Himmler by an Estonian named Kristan are historical examples of the applications of Mesmerism.  Kristan is also said to have used his hypnotizing power on Himmler to liberate over a hundred thousands innocent people who were captured by Hitler.
An expert user of Mesmerism actually influences the will-power and the nervous system of others by his/her own (bio)electromagnetic power. Subtle effects of such experiments lead to the transfusion of the prana (vital energy) of the performer into the body of the patient.
The Greek saint and doctor, Hippocrates had great faith in the power of vital energy.  His philosophy states that — as the body survives because of the power of the soul, it should not be difficult to cure and regulate its healthy state by using the vital energy supplied by the consciousness. A Scottish philosopher, Mr. Maxwell had a similar belief.  He had opened a training centre for spiritual healing.  Another European named Eschulepious was famous for his treatment that included a few sessions of touching a patient and exhaling on the latter’s mouth.  An English priest named Father Dueda was also known for similar expertise.  A London based gardener named Lenhart gained popularity due to the healing-effects of his finger-tips.

The Magnetic Ocean Quavering in the Human Body
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya
Advanced research in related biomedical sciences has shown that the mutual adjustment of the magnetic fields among various tissues and cellular interactions control the normal/healthy functioning of our body.  The continuous circulation of blood due to the minute iron and other chargeable particles in the   RBCs results in a consistent flow of an electric current.  The electric field generated thereby also creates a (bio)magnetic field inside the body.  The iron and other charged particles thus provide energy for various ionic flows at the cellular and organ levels.  Because of the highly complex but extremely well balanced electromagnetic interactions between the large number of constituent macromolecules, each healthy cell in the human body is like a strong power storage/supply unit.  Any imbalance (due to the intracellular and the extra-cellular ionic flows) in the cells’ electromagnetic activity amounts to a loss of the vital energy, which results in a reduced resistance to various diseases.
A group of scientists working at the Leningrad University have successfully detected the presence of (bio)magnetic fields in the human-body. They argue that an excessive stimulation of such fields in a person may create serious problems for his/her mental and physical health.  John Michael and Robert J.M. Richard have described many incidents of such effects in their book entitled   ‘Mysterious Phenomena’.  Some of these incidents are described below in brief.
Several decades ago, the investigators at the Ontario Medical Association.Canada had observed a case of one Ms. Carolina Clair who possessed an excess of biomagnetism.  With a little stimulation her body-magnet was able to attract the iron made substances like knives, spoons, nails etc.  Similar biomagnetism was observed by some scientists in the fingers of a girl student at the Maryland University. She was able to hang a   1 ft x 1 inch iron rod in air by a mere touch of her finger-tips.  Compass needles placed near her used to stop functioning.  Even the people in her proximity would feel being pulled by an unusual force of attraction.
A man named Frank Mac-Quinstry in Joplin, Missouri (USA) was sometimes unable to walk because his feet would stick to the earth in the stimulated state of the sensitive biomagnet of his body.  Pulling off by a stronger external force used to be his remedy in such situations.

The Magnetic Ocean Quavering in the Human Body
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya
Human Body is a wonderful creation of the supreme creative power. It is endowed with all the physical and conscious energy forms existing in the universe. The living system of human body can be identified as a grand magnet or as a moving electric powerhouse. The   human-magnet through its vital energy can affect and get affected by others. An in-depth study and controlled utilization of such effects at (bio)physical and subtle levels offers challenging and important research problems in advanced sciences.
The source of biomagnetism in our body gains energy from the earth’s gravitation, similar to what the latter gains from the Sun. All the universal magnetic forces affect the (bio)magnetism of a human body. Vital energy levels of a person vary according to the biomagnetism of his/her body.   The visible effects of reduction in this magnetic power are – dullness in eyes, spiritless face, dry skin and lethargic body.  Feelings of oblivion, illusion and fatigue are common in persons with weak biomagnetism.  Elevated levels of biomagnetism, on the other hand, give rise to corresponding increase in the general vitality, charm, enthusiasm, sound memory and intelligence.  Persons having more powerful biomagnetism naturally attract and influence the weaker ones.
The reception of cosmic radiations by human-psyche is also characterized by the individual’s biomagnetic quality.  The North Pole of the ‘Human Magnet’ is said to reside in the brain.  The formation of an aura (halo of light) around this vital organ is a result of an upward bioelectric flow near this subtle pole.  The South Pole of this living ‘magnet’ is situated near the genital organs.  The sexual activities are controlled by the vital energy through this pole.  Excessive stimulation of this pole results in severe loss of vital energy.
The body’s biomagnet can be made more powerful by a consistently upward flow of the vital energy.  Dr. Albert Abraham of San Francisco had defined the human body as a   whirlpool of magnetic energy waves.  A living human body continuously emits and absorbs these energy waves from its surrounding fields.  Dr. Abraham’s research indicates that the rate of emission of electromagnetic energy through a human body is of the order of     80 X 109   cycles per second; the rate of receiving energy from cosmic radiations however, is much higher.  The technique to measure the electromagnetic energy emitted by a body was also developed by Dr. Abraham.  This technique is called Radisthesia.  Dr. Abraham’s studies showed that the rate of emission of this energy is maximum in emissions from the brain, eyes, finger-tips (pores of fingers) and the genital organs.

                    Simple Solution to Intractable Problems
=Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya

Plethora of problems haunting humanity today will simply vanish in no time by adopting the principle of ‘Simple living and high thinking’. How can evil take roots in the psyche when every citizen is honest, prudent, responsible and brave? There are enough resources on earth to take care of the basic needs of food, shelter and clothes of all human beings; and provide work to all according to his / her aptitude and talents. How can then there be any disparity between the rich and the poor or that between upper and lower caste?
A man is born to live purposefully, happily and peacefully and not to fight, squabble or quarrel. Once ego-induced selfishness is curbed, the problems arising out of acquisitive drives will vanish. It is the greed for wealth and power that prompts a person to take recourse to ignoble means and in turn disrupts the social harmony.

There are countless challenges faced by individuals and society. The so-called experts are working strenuously in their areas of expertise on each of these challenges, considering these to be separate, but are unable to find lasting solutions. The number of hospitals and doctors are increasing every year so also the number of patients. The government is taking all measures to maintain law and order but the crimes are increasing each day.

In order to solve the problems, we will have to go to their roots. We will then realize that these problems have been caused by our own distorted thinking and way of living. Unless there is a unitive paradigm shift in the collective human consciousness keeping in view the common good, we are heading towards a mass suicide. Life-affirming spirituality alone can solve all the problems and open the door to a happy, healthy and harmonious life on earth.

Amrit Chintan : Pujya Gurudev

                Positive thinking maintains mental balance
Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya
Due to the lack of confidence, many people exaggerate the problems they are facing and feel overwhelmed by them. But the truth is otherwise. All the clouds do not rain.  Many of them, though appearing thick and dark, are blown away by the winds. When even the golden dreams are not materialized, how can the imaginary fears turn out to be real?  There are certainly evil and aggressive elements in the society, but it must not be forgotten that there also exist the angelic, protecting and helping powers. If the human life is wasted in such small worries, then how can any one survive on earth?
The mental balance is disturbed more due to the inner weakness and lack of refined thinking than the external factors. If we can develop the habit of positive thinking and develop the courage to face the realities of life, it will easily be possible to eradicate the mental disorders and at the same time also get rid of the day-to-day ailments that are caused by such disorders. We try to treat unsuccessfully the physical symptoms which really have the roots in the subtle domain. Therefore, for our healthy and happy life, let us develop the habit of positive thinking.

Learn order and organization from the world of nature
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma acharya
One can learn profitably from the ship of the desert, camel, how to survive in hostile conditions with minimum needs. In humans water constitutes 12% of the body weight while in camels it is 25%. The camel drinks more than 100 liters of water at a time and can, therefore, go without water for several days at a stretch. None can excel the cockroach in longevity of survival of this species on earth. Its beginning on the earth is estimated to go back to 160 million years. During this long period, this planet has seen many vicissitudes; many ice ages and tumultuous changes, which obliterated the existence of giant dinosaurs.
The cockroach has survived all these catastrophes, which really is an awe-inspiring feat. On deeper probe, the secret of its amazing endurance becomes apparent. It has no equal in eating habit. It is omnivorous and can digest literally everything. What is more, it can survive for one month without any food or water, for two months on water only without any food, and for five months on food only even if it gets no water. If submerged under ice, it goes into hibernation, and becomes active with the melting of snow.
This unique capacity to adapt itself to the extremes of hostile conditions is the secret of its long survival on earth. It is clear that Mother Nature has equipped the creatures with the instinct and ingenuity by which they may successfully lead their individual and collective lives on the path of progress. Man, who, in his false arrogance of material achievements, has lost even the quality of humaneness, can benefit much from the life-patterns of these creatures and animals. He should be humble enough to welcome and imbibe excellence, from wherever it comes.

Learn order and organization-III ; Pujya Gurudev

Learn order and organization from the world of nature
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma acharya
The ants have their tasks cut out and they diligently, like disciplined soldiers, keep to their respective charges refusing to give up come what may. The queen is engaged throughout the year in laying eggs and breeding only. The other class is of worker ants that look after the queen and take full care of her. They gather food and feed the queen and her babies. It is their responsibility to carry the eggs to specially protected egg-chambers and keep them supplied with provisions.
A notable feature is that, of the collected eatables, they offer only the most delicious pieces to the queen.
All the worker ants are females. While on the topic of the social life of birds and animals, a mention of the presence of democratic trait in their societies would be apposite. Dr. L. Conrad of the Sussex University, USA has studied the community lives of many such animals and has drawn some interesting conclusions. According to her, in the herd of animals, collective decision is made on the basis of majority opinion. For example, when a herd of reindeers or a swarm of lonely-bees appears to dance we should not be misled into thinking that they are merely dancing or expressing joy at having found nectar somewhere. In reality, they are having a poll among themselves about whether to proceed towards flowers or the grass field.
This whole process is spontaneous, a result of natural instinct, without any conscious deliberation or planning. The manner and method of such spontaneous decision-making varies from animal to animal. According to researchers, when, in a flock of deer, more than 60% stand up, they should be taken to be casting their votes by raising their legs i.e. expressing their opinions. Similarly, when, in the herd of African buffaloes, the females begin staring with a fixed gaze, we should know that they are giving their opinion or vote. Large swans, too, express their wish by the movement of their heads.
They take to flight only when a large number of swans engage in slow movement, or a small number of them make rapid movement. Thus, animals or birds know by their sheer natural instincts when they have to move or fly, and this decision is arrived at on the basis of majority opinion. There are a few exceptions to the rule, though, which do not follow the democratic system. Cat is one such example, which has no interest in collective decision-making. Deeper investigations into this phenomenon of collective decision-making are likely to unravel many more mysteries. An interesting feature observed in this regard is that these animals have an intuitive understanding of the importance of time. Humans should learn from their behavior that punctuality of time is of crucial importance for successful conduct of life.
Only the work, which is done at the right time, will lead to success; decisions made, after the opportune moment has passed, are likely to prove futile. Also, decisions taken in a natural way, which are in conformity with the will of the majority, prove fruitful and beneficial for the progress of community life.
The lives of these creatures hold lessons for us not merely in the matter of social order and organization but also in the realm of individual struggle for survival.

Learn order and organization-II; Pujya Gurudev

Learn order and organization from the world of nature
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma acharya

The honeybee is a social creature too, with a specific structure of community organization. At the center, there is the queen bee.

There are some idler princes, and the rest are worker bees that do all the labor ranging from gathering honey to the protection and service of the queen. The termite, too, is known for its community life and organizational prowess. Its existence on the earth is believed to be 250 million years old.

The termite lives in colonies, each such colony inhabited by many thousands. It is a marvel of its power of organization that, in Africa, huge termite colonies, towering up to twenty feet, are found. Even bulldozers become inadequate to raze these, and explosives have to be used. Any talk of hard labor, organization and sociability will remain incomplete without the account of her ladyship, the ant. Ant is an insect, which can be found in every nook and corer of the world, barring only the Polar Regions and the snow-capped mountain peaks, there are approximately fourteen thousand sub-species of the ant. Ants living and behavioral pattern is entirely social, and we are hardly aware of the excellent mutual cooperation that exists within its community life. In size, ant is tiny, but its smallness is deceptive.
On the strength of its organization and skill, ant is able to repel even much larger insects. Ants tend to roam in large clusters; each such cluster may comprise up to twenty million ants.

That is why even much bigger insects cannot confront them. When the caravan of African red ants is on the move, people start fleeing from their houses, and village after village becomes deserted. All creatures that come in their way, ranging from the smaller ones to even elephants and camels, dread these ants. Ants do their work in groups. Collecting food, making of holes, procreation, and rearing of young ones  all these tasks are performed with excellent rapport. In ant society, there is a preponderance of females. The male ants role is confined to procreation only, and its life span, too, is very short; it dies after just one coition. The emergence of ants after monsoon gives the impression that columns of their army have been let loose from some military cantonment.
The sight of winged and flying ants suddenly appearing into view in the rainy season evokes wonder. It is another matter that abandoning the ground and taking to the air in this free manner often proves fatal for them, as they become easy prey to insectivorous birds. While this fate of ants holds a lesson for observance of prudence; their feature of the division of labor is at once very remarkable as well as educative.

Learn order and organization : Pujya Gurudev

Learn order and organization from the world of nature
=Pt.ShriRam Sharma acharya

Our earth is inhabited by myriads of living beings. Among them, man has undoubtedly the most evolved consciousness by virtue of his superior intellect and other higher potentialities. But, at the same time, he is prone to commit the mistake of looking down upon the lower forms of life as petty and insignificant.
This is not proper. If man, in spirit of humility and curiosity, were to observe closely the life-patterns of sub-human species, he will find there much to learn from, and he will be overwhelmed by the display of practical wisdom, understanding and unique abilities with which Mother Nature has endowed them.

This experience will, on the one hand, reinforce his faith in the even handedness and fair play of the Creator and, on the other, he may find there some instructive models of behavior for betterment of his own life-models which these supposedly lowly creatures follow diligently to lead a contented and healthy life. Let us take the example of black-bee in this respect. Rest is anathema to the black-bee. It collects pollen from three to four hundred flowers during the day. It is noteworthy that this collection is made from only one species of flowers at a time. Its community has three classes  males king, females and workers. By the fall of winter, all the members die leaving only a few females.
The latter have to negotiate the hard time of winter eating only the leftover crumbs. With the onset of spring, the famished female begins to build its habitat patiently and, with gradual breeding, a new life cycle starts.
Black-bees are totally untouched by greed; hence there is no question of hiding the laboriously collected nectar. Another example is that of the honeybee which leaves even the black-bee behind in terms of toil and sweetness. It is not for nothing that the adage "busy as bee" has been associated with this tiny creature. Its enterprise and diligence is unparalleled. It has to make about forty thousand ferries just to make half a liter of honey; each trip of two to three kilometers: thereby making it to cover a distance of three round trips of the earth for this labor.
