Fulfillment of desires = Pujya Gurudev

=Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya
The desires are not to be shunned. What are to be decried and abandoned are their form and the low means of achieving them. The desires are supposed to be excellent only when they ensure the benefit of others along with that of the self. If the best possible means for achieving them are to be searched, it may be found in one word "yajna" which is the essence of the knowledge gained through lifelong experimentations of the illumined sages.
No doubt, Kamya yajna (the yajna for fulfilling a particular desire) is not only helpful in fulfilling the different desires but is also fully capable of doing so. It produces vibrations and builds up an atmosphere that brings forth the desired results. Several times, it has been found that the desired results are obtained then and there. In ancient times, many Agnihotri (sages, who were experts in performing yajna) possessed the knowledge of different methods of performing Kamya yajna.
They employed these methods for preventing calamities and for initiating the process of achieving great successes. These methods have been almost forgotten today. There is need to investigate, afresh, the mysteries of these yajnas, so that the golden age experienced by the sages could be recreated. Some hints about Kamya yajna are available here and there; but these are only hints. They throw ample light on the capabilities of our ancestors. So far as the question of their experimentation and the achievement of desired results are concerned, they have been kept secret, keeping in view the oath of secrecy by their discoverers. Even then, they do serve as hints for the curious persons.
Here is a collection of few of them :-

Lata varvasu vividdidya somasya juhuyatadima / Some surpaa sanyukte prayokta kshaya shantaye // Meaning: Tuberculosis is cured by performing yajna with the herb "sarpalata" on the day of Amavasya (no-moon day).
Kusumai shankha vrikshasya hutva kushtha vinashayet / Apasmar vinashastadapamargasya tandule // Meaning: Relief is obtained from Leprosy by offering oblations with the flowers of shankha tree. Epilepsy is cured by offering oblations with the seeds of Apamarg.
Chandandwaya sanyuktam karpur tandulam yavam / Lavanga suphalam chajyam sita chamrasya daruke // Apam nyuna vidhiha prokto Gayatryaha pritikarkaha / Meaning: A person becomes dear to Gayatri by offering oblations with both the sandalwoods (red and white) , camphor, rice grains, barley, clove, coconut, ghee (milk fat), mishri (sugar crystals) and samidha (wood or fuel for yajna) of mango tree.
Thanks GOD,Thanks Sadguru,
Shiv Sharma
