Believe in yourself=Pujya Sadguru Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya

Believe in yourself
“Always keep in mind that only self-confident persons are successful in this world.” =Pujya Sadguru Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya
Sadguru wrote ,How can we always live as a winner.(Akhand Jyoti May-June-08)
If you wish that others should believe in you, the easiest and best way is that first you believe in yourself. There are many people who are considered irresponsible and unscrupulous; no one believes them; they are upbraided everywhere. Such people normally don’t have faith in themselves. Their faces, expressions and speech clearly indicate that they don’t believe in themselves.
People in the external world label us the way we present ourselves to them. When misery, poverty, incapability, disappointment, weakness, etc are expressed through our behavior, conduct and character, people consider us to be miserable, poor, incapable, disappointed, weak, etc and treat us accordingly. Those who meet the challenges of life courageously and confidently are surely able to achieve their objectives. God helps those who help themselves.
Whatever task is in your hands, try to accomplish it with full attention. Believe fully in your ability, wisdom and competence. Focus your entire energy and aim at accomplishing your target. Discard inferiority complex and laziness and learn to do the work in hand with seriousness, enthusiasm and confidence. Always keep in mind that only self-confident persons are successful in this world.
Thanks GOD,Thanks Sadguru.

HISTORY IS WITNESS TO THE YOUTH POWER. Pujya Gurudev

HISTORY IS WITNESS TO THE YOUTH POWER

Sadguru Pt. ShriRam Sharma always Strongly Pramoted Youths for Creative & divotee works for the Nation. Sadguru says Swami Vivekanand version to youth generation
“O brave hearts! O young progeny of our motherland! Realize that you have taken birth to accomplish many great tasks. Be not fearful of anything. Be not scared of even the loudest thunderbolts from the heavens. Arise! Gird up your loins and get to work.”
Since the ancient times it is the youth power that has always boldly stood up to the challenges and crises that have raised their ominous heads from time to time. Whenever dark clouds have hovered over the nation and mankind, the young blood has cut through and scattered them with it valor. The Vedic and Upanishadic stories amply bear out this truth.
Rishi Vamdeva and Somsrava who led the peoples’ awakening were young. So were Saytakam and Sukesha who gladly sacrificed the carnal pleasures of young age to spread the light of noble thoughts and wisdom among the populace. The young Parashuram put an end to the reign of terror of Kartvirya who was considered invincible. Parashuram is said to have organized twenty one campaigns to cleanse the earth of evil and injustice. Agastya, who shielded the Arya culture from the rampaging squads of dasyus (demonic forces) was a young man too. He compelled the Vindhyagiri Mountain to submit before his valor.
The young Vishwarath undertook great penance to instill the potency of the Gayatri mantra in people’s consciousness. His supreme effort for public weal earned him the epithet “Vishwamitra” (friend of the world) and made him venerable. Bhagirath was in the prime of his youth when he ventured on the impossible looking task of bringing the holy Ganga on earth in order to make the earth green again after she had suffered long on account of draught conditions. It was young Ram who had started on the long course of journey to put an end to the demonic stranglehold of all-conquering Ravana. Guided by Maharishi Vishwamitra and Agastya, Ram was able to defeat Ravana, the sole super power of the age. He turned this expedition into a popular movement by bringing within its fold Kol, Kirat, Shabar, Nishad and many other tribes.
Prahalad, who opposed his tyrannical and arrogant father Hiranyakashyapu, was only a young boy. He remained unwavering on his righteous path in the face of wrathful Hiranyakashyapu, who had vanquished even Indra. Prahlad placed righteousness and public well-being above personal relationship and became instrumental in solving the big problem of the time through the mechanism of Narsimha Avtar. The organizers of mass awakening against the wickedness of Kans were again adolescents, Krishna and Balram. Krishna not only ended the misrule of Kans but was also successful in transforming and energizing the rural India of the time. Later, with the help of the Pandavas he ushered in a major revolution which resulted in the elimination of stubborn autocrats like Jarasandha and Duryodhan, and in the establishment of a new benign political system.
Maharishi Vyas dedicated his whole life to the dissemination of knowledge. He had resolved to do so in his young age itself. It was the age of ignorance and cynicism. Knowledge was restricted to the privileged few. Inspired by Maharishi Dadhyanga Atharvan, Vyas along with his wife Vatika, committed himself to fight against this great crisis of all pervading ignorance. Systematization of the Vedic literature, writing of           Puranas, philosophical commentaries - all these great works were done by him single-handedly. Later his young son Shukdev and disciples like Gemini and Sut-Shaunak joined him in this mega project. Sut-Shaunak, through the medium of their puranic stories, were able to liberate the common man’s mind from the shackles of many kinds of the then prevalent superstitions and misconceptions.
After the Mahabharat war the nation was once again engulfed by the dark clouds of ignorance, divisions and irrational beliefs. Then a young Siddhartha and Vardhman rose to the occasion. Relinquishing every royal luxury and comfort they chose the ascetic path of tap and brought about a unique social and intellectual revolution in the country. While Siddhartha became the Buddha, Vardhaman became Mahavir (the great conqueror) – the 24th Tirthankar of Jainism. At their call countless young men and women woke up and started awakening others. Not only India but the whole of Asia lit up with the dazzle of enlightenment.
This tradition was carried forward by the young Acharya Shankar. The crisis of his time was that the country was divided into diverse sects, tantric practices and irrational beliefs. The Acharya united the whole country with the thread of his advaita doctrine. Every nook and corner of the country began to glow with the light of this knowledge. Many young men and women – Padmapad, Sureshwar, Bharati, Karnika and others– played their roles in this monumental work of the great Acharya.
In subsequent moments of crises Ramanuja, Madhva, Nimbarka and Vallabha dedicated their youth towards resolving them. Gorakhnath too was a young ascetic who exhorted the young generation to build strong character through the power of yoga. By popularizing Hathayoga he brought about a revolution in health consciousness and character building during his time. In mediaeval ages Kabir and Raidas carried forward and nurtured this tradition. Among the Sikh gurus, be it the first guru Nanakdev or the tenth guru Govind Singh, they were young when they generated a new vigor in the country through their tap and valor. Samartha Ramdas, who inspired young Shivaji to take up cudgels against the Mughal atrocities, had started his crusade for restoration of the glory of Sanatan Dharma when he was quite young.
The history of India’s freedom movement also bears testimony to this pioneering role of the youth. Right since 1857 upto 1947 the youth of the country played a leading role in instilling among the masses the feeling of patriotism and the urge for liberation. Among the heroes of the first war of independence of 1857 Rani Lakshmibai, Tatya Tope, Mangal Pande – all were young. Lakshmibai was only 26 then. A brave soldier in her army Jhalkaribai was also a young girl. The Rani’s inspiration transformed even dancers like Sunder-Munder, Juhi, Motibai into brave warriors. Later on many leaders who devoted their whole lives to the cause of liberation – Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru – had all stepped on this thorny path of struggle and suffering with the onset of their youth.

Martyrs like Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Khudiram Bose and may others sacrificed their lives in the prime of youth to free their countrymen from the shackles of bondage. When Khudiram Bose was being taken to the gallows his parting words were:
“Hansi hansi chadbe phansi, dekhile jagatvasi
Ek bar vidai de ma, Ami ghure asi”
[Meaning – The world will see that I wore the noose gladly. O Motherland! Bid me farewell now. I will take birth again and again.]
The heartthrob of the nation’s youth, the flag bearer of the spiritual legacy Swami Vivekanand was very young too. He exhorted the young – “O brave hearts! O young progeny of our motherland! Realize that you have taken birth to accomplish many great tasks. Be not fearful of anything. Be not scared of even the loudest thunderbolts from the heavens. Arise! Gird up your loins and get to work.” This steely mantra of Swamiji is for all times and ages. The youth of today should take inspiration from and emulate the great personages of the past.

Sixty thousand sons of king Sagar had been burnt to ashes by the curse of a rishi. There was only one way to redeem them and bring them back to life. This was possible by bringing the celestial river Ganga to earth. Bhagirath was very anxious. How to accomplish this impossible looking task? Finally he made up his mind. He handed over the charge of his kingdom to his sons and discarding the life of comfort and luxury began to perform a long tap in the deep recesses of the Himalayas. Goddess Ganga appeared and said. “Bhagirath! Only if some one were capable of bearing the great force of my descent can I come down to earth and remain here. Otherwise I will rush down straight to the Patal lok (nether world)”.
Bhagirath propitiated Lord Shiva with tap and made him agree to undertake this role. Shiva bore the descending Ganga in his unfolded locks and steadily released her flow on the earth in the interest of its inhabitants.

Women Must Come Forward and Take Their Rightful Place to Redeem Humanity

Women Must Come Forward and Take Their Rightful Place to Redeem Humanity
Pujya Sadguru’s Great work for upliftment of women is  always remembrable . Sadguru appealed: “mature, warm-hearted, committed and talented women come forward and join the noble crusade against the forces of Night.” ( Akhand Jyoti Jan.fab-08)

Women’s Column Women must come forward and take their rightful place to redeem humanity As the legend goes, at some point, as the process of creation unrolled, Prajapati Brahma created angels, demons and human beings. Although angels and demons were far superior to humans in their respective roles, Brahmaji made humans potentially in his own image.
The legend says that the Creator blessed humans with the gift of Self-Effort through which, if positively used, they could rise far above the angels as co-creators; and if negatively applied, could become worse than the demons. For the former outcome, He enjoined upon the human male (man) to go hand-in hand with his better half (woman) as complementary equals in their noble endeavor to attain Heavenly Bliss of at-one-ment with the Divine; and that failure to abide by this advice would result in man being worse than a demon. For quite a long time in history man has, by and large, ignored the Creator’s advice by treating woman as a chattel and has brought about all-round degradation of humanity through cruelty, humiliation and subjugation of woman and innumerable demonic acts of omission and commission. Now has come the time when women of talents, substance, grit and determination come forward to take lead in all fields of human endeavor and heal the festering wounds of humanity through their God-given gifts of service, perseverance, humility, forbearance, wisdom, compassion, kindness and all-embracing love.
Here is the injunction of The Vedas to man: Brahamparam yujyatam brahma poorvam Brahmantato madhyato brahma sarvatah │ Anavyadham devpuram prapadya shiva syona patiloke viraj ││ Atharva Veda 14/1/64 Meaning: “O Man! Your better half (wife) surrounded from all the sides by Brahma (highness, greatness) should rule your heart.” The renowned philosopher Aristotle says, “The rise and fall of a nation is directly related to the rise and fall of women of that nation.” That our ancestors assured an honored place to women is evident the way we invoke our deities: Lakshmi –Narayan, Uma-Maheshwar, Sita-Ram, Radha- Krishna, etc. . The awakening of the dormant human potential of angelic attributes is the very basis of entire transformation of the era. The Gayatri Pariwar’s founder, Gurudev, Pt Sriram Sharma Acharya, through his seer vision, has proclaimed that 21st century is the century of awakening of feminine energy which will create the environment of world peace.
There cannot be salvation from present–day problems without activating this transforming energy. Emotionally, physically, politically and socially persecuted and thwarted Goddess – Mahashakti – has opened Her Eyes, awakened to the truth of the moment and will consciously usher in one of the most important human breakthroughs in cosmic consciousness. The woman may appear physically weak because of bearing and rearing of children, but in the field of nurturing qualities she has always excelled man. For ushering in the new epoch, activation of these qualities is essential. Therefore the activities of the masses should be oriented in that direction; the entire structure of governance, religion, society, economics, etc should be moulded accordingly. For such an enormous transformation, women will have to play leading roles in all the fields of human endeavor. They will have to shoulder the major responsibilities. Let wise, mature, warm-hearted, committed and talented women come forward and join the noble crusade against the forces of Night.
At present senario the Role of women is most important in society. So women should come and Join Gayatri Pariwar for Creation of new Peaceful world.
Thanks GOD,Thanks Sadguru.

Attainment of Goals through Faith in the Divine.Pujya Gurudev

Attainment of Goals through Faith in the Divine

Sadguru wrote, ." The Gayatri Mahamantra is not only helpful in attainment of noble goals in life, but in essence, is itself the ultimate goal of life”
The Gayatri MahaMantra:
“Aum bhurbhuvah svah, tat saviturvarenyam Bhargo devasya dhimahi, dhiyo yo nah prachodayat.” –
Rigveda 3/62/10; Yajurveda 3/35; Samveda 1462 "May we behold in our inner self the Supreme Being who is the embodiment of vital energy (prana), the destroyer of suffering, the annihilator of sin, the joy incarnate, the sublime, the resplendent, the Divine. May that Supreme Being inspire our minds towards the enlightened, righteous path." The Gayatri Mahamantra is not only helpful in attainment of noble goals in life, but in essence, is itself the ultimate goal of life”. Only by beholding the Supreme Being in the inner self and by resolutely treading the righteous path, can mankind search for and find its sublime goal. An aimless life is a miserable life of wandering in the wilderness.
The absence of a worthy aim renders all the means and efforts meaningless. Unless the goal is clear, the internal energy and latent strengths can not be channelized in the right direction. All the potentialities begin to wither away in a life without a lofty purpose to pursue after. To prevent this eventuality, it is imperative that a goal be fixed. For selecting and fixing the goal, it is essential to minutely search ones inner being, because only such a close search will unravel the facts whose analysis will enable us to determine the goal. In connection with this inner investigation the first point is to identify the talents hidden within oneself. That is, to know one by one all the latent qualities which are yearning to find expression.
The second point is to pin-point that specific God-gifted spark or impulse which has been stirring us since our childhood. The third point is those challenges which have frequently surfaced before us and with which we are still surrounded. An intensive scrutiny of these challenges is very essential, because without surmounting them, we can not proceed towards our goal. The fourth is our own value-system of life which we have inculcated within us and cherish. Generally, this value-system abides in us in the form of some noble thoughts and duties, and we are not inclined to abandon them under any circumstances.
The fifth point concerns those resources which we possess presently; it is this asset which will come to our aid in the course of our progression towards the goal. And the sixth prerequisite is those opportunities which destiny has bestowed upon us. Only after reflecting well over these six points, should we choose and determine our goal. But even more important than the six points enumerated above is the seventh, which is our own vision or dream whose rainbowy glow has illumined our inner mindscape since the very beginning. To realize this dream could be the chosen goal of our life.
It is a pleasant truth that a dream is born in every heart, we believe in its fulfillment, then our dream takes concrete shape, and a miracle is wrought. Whatever be the goal career related, economic, material, mental, familial or spiritual once it has been set, after careful consideration, it is not wise to change it frequently. At the same time, it is necessary that in selection of the goal, the above mentioned seven considerations are kept in view, because impossible ventures, such as settling down on the Mars or pulling down the Sun to the Earth can not be set as the goal in life. But if a feasible and logical goal has been set, there should be no question of going back. After fixation of the goal, the next requirement is total concentration on it. Total concentration means that the whole personality should merge in that, so much so that the one begins to be identified with the other. When firm resolve, full devotion and unwavering faith become combined, attainment of the goal is ensured. The seemingly impossible begins to be not only possible but attainable, successive steps start gaining momentum, and opportunities begin to emerge spontaneously. Those whose search of a goal is over and who are advancing towards it with complete faith will ultimately succeed in realizing it this much is certain. In this connection, the memoirs of the great seer Swami Vivekananda are instructive. Swamiji has written that after the Mahasamadhi of his guru Sri Ramkrishna Paramhansadev, all the guru-bhais (brother disciples) were left without money, home and means. There was no proper arrangement for even food. But, yet, their goal was crystal clear before their eyes. Also, they all had unwavering faith in the nobility and loftiness of the goal, i.e. the restoration of the sublime glory of Mother India and Indian culture, so that the banner of Indian culture would once again flutter in the world. But how would this lofty goal be achieved? To this, there was only one answer divine help, because those who have unwavering faith in the Divine would rediscover their innate strengths. They would be able to run and not get tired; they would keep walking and not feel exhausted. Swamiji says: "The experience shows that the very thought of divine help generates in the mind a unique serenity which is beyond description. Whenever I have felt loneliness in the course of my sadhana, I have remembered Christs assuring words, Be not afraid, be not disappointed, because I, your Lord, your God, am always with you. I will accompany you wherever you go ". The inspiring moments of Gods help and experience of the Divine are always helpful in attainment of an exalted goal. If, however, the goal is vast and grand, it should be completed in stages. It will be better if it is broken down into yearly, monthly and fortnightly units, and we proceed towards it gradually, albeit steadily, determinedly and faithfully. We should look upon God as our benefactor and the Gayatri mantra as our anchor. This divine anchor imparts to the personality a mystic strength and enables it to cover the distance to the goal easily. One should not, though, neglect ones health during the course of this sacred journey.
Thanks GOD,Thanks Sadguru.

Present Scenario of Sufferings and Remedies-Pujya Gurudev

Present Scenario of Sufferings and Remedies
Pujya sadguru Pt.ShriRam Sharma Acharya knows as power house of Knowladge.Sadguru wrote eassy solution for present basic human problums with scientific Remedies.  A Article in Akhand Jyoti (July-Aug.-07)

Excessive tension, depression, excessive sex, unchecked drainage of vital elements because of sensual excitation, abnormal sleep (especially overrsleep), excessive laziness etc are some of the causes of abnormal variations in normal physiological and biochemical (including hormonal) functions which may lead, among other diseases and disorders, to cancers. Cardiac problems (Heart Diseases), Cancer, Hypertension, Diabetes, Liver Psoriasis, Hepatitis, Tuberculosis, Encephalitis, and Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) are among the major diseases leading to death of a significantly large proportion of world population. Of these Heart Diseases and Cancer are among the most dreaded challenges to healthcare in the developing as well as the developed world today. Although many effective medicines have been discovered and are available in the market to treat several kinds of cancer and the rate and possibilities of cure have also improved during the last two decades, the positive diagnosis of this disease continues to be traumatic for the patient and his near and dear ones.
The major bottlenecks are the lack of early diagnosis and the complexity of genomic variations and related biochemical reactions in the cause, proliferations and control of cancers. Because of the difference in genomic constitution and variations in the state of cell cycles when the carcinogenic mutation might have occurred or when the drug reaches the cells, etc, the same medicine might be very effective in certain kind of cancer in one person whereas it might be slow, ineffective or even have sidereffects (including progression of cancer in some other organ, etc) in some other patient of the same disease. In modern medical terms the major types of cancers are malignant tumors, neoplasm and carcinomas.
The synonyms in Ayurveda are arbudgranthi, adhimansa and karkaaburda. Unani medicine terms it as rasauli. In simple terms cancer is a transformation of some cells in the body, which have excessive growth rate and abnormal biochemical reactions. These cells proliferate like 100% compound interest and suppress the growth of normal cells. This transformation may occur due to various causes r prominent among them being mutations (due to eating chemically synthesized stuff, or eatables kept in reprocessed polythene, etc), reactions of certain chemicals (e.g. lead) rr especially pollutants in air and water, thickening of some internal tissues, unnatural exposure to ultraviolet radiations etc.
Cancer can occur in any part of the body including internal organs, bones, glands, flesh, blood, etc. The elements causing cancer are broadly termed as carcinogens. Many of the modern medicines are found to contain chemicals that prove carcinogens under certain conditions inrvivo. Several antibiotics also cause malignant transformation of some tissues or organs. Hormone therapy is among prominent causes of breast cancer in women. Some kinds of fungus on wheat, rice, maze and groundnut etc are also identified as carcinogenic. Some toxic elements, which may not be dangerous poisons, are found to be mutagenic, many of these are causes of cancers. For example, the elements in aphlatoxin category are found to cause liverrcarcinomas. Some varieties of mushrooms are also found to have carcinogens. Excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides is increasing such risks in most of our vegetables and grains too.
The danger is higher in case of nonrvegetarian food as the pollutants, mutagens, infections and genetic aberrations in the animals carry the disease or its cause in those who eat the animal’s flesh or organs, etc. Tobacco or its smoke (in bii and cigarette), betel leaf (pana), betel nut, gutka or pana masalas, chewing gum, alcoholic drinks, etc are high risk causes of cancers of the tongue, throat and GIrtrack. Breathing tobacco smoke and polluted air may cause cancers of thoracic region and lungs. Because of use of synthesized chemicals and preservatives etc, chocolates, toffees, cold drinks, prercooked tinned eatables and junk food, etc are also prone to cause cancers in different parts of the body. Endocrine secretion of people working near or under highrgrid power or high voltage circuits sometimes get so disturbed that the new or perturbed hormonal secretions lead to abnormal transformation of mental and bodily functions. The latter often lead to different kinds of cancers. Ayurvedic experts give simpler, yet comprehensive description of causes of cancers.
These include, infection in wounds, eating infected flesh or bones etc, indiscipline of snehan, vaman, virechan, persistence of dysentery, piles, urine infection, vomiting, untreated acnes, infections of genitals or uterus during pregnancy or in case of abortion, artificial diet (e.g. junk food, chemically synthesized or preserved food), excessively spicy and pungent food, smoking and consumption of alcohol, breathing impure (polluted) air, etc. Medication not compatible with the prakrati (natural constitution in terms of vat, pitta and kapha) of the patient, repeated surgery of an acne or wound, incomplete removal of pus in a septic boil or its drying by use of chemicals or medicines, repeated forced control of urination or excretion, are also regarded in Ayurveda as among major causes of cancer.
Excessive tension, depression, excessive sex, unchecked drainage of vital elements because of sensual excitation, abnormal sleep (especially overrsleep), excessive laziness etc are described here as causes of abnormal variations in normal physiological and biochemical (including hormonal) functions which may lead, among other diseases and disorders, to cancers. As per Ayurvedic scriptures, it is also likely that some genetic abnormalities which occurred in the foetus get activated and expressed at a later stage when specific extrarcellular or intrarcellular environment is available and result in cancerous transformation of specific cells. (This is significant in view of the latest research on cancerous phenotypes being very specific to one’s genotypes).
As tumors or abnormal growth in any part of the body without pain or other manifestation happen to be most frequent cases of cancers, let us look at these in a little more detail. Modern (Allopathy) as well as ancient (Ayurveda) sciences of medicine classify tumors in two broad categories r Benign (ordinary) and Malignant (cancerous). The benign ones are removed by surgery and except for some precautionary measures, there is nothing to worry.
However, if left retained in the body, these may sometime turn malignant. The malignant tumors, even in the initial stage, are dangerous as they proliferate at abnormally rapid rate and become extremely painful. Not only that, if left without any check, they may spread across the whole body and gradually destroy all normal functions. Moreover, after a certain stage, no amount of surgery, chemotherapy or radiation therapy can uproot them completely. The dangerous (viz, malignant) tumors are of two types: those generated by epithelium (referred as upakala in Ayurveda) are called "carcinomas" and those of the connective tissues (sanyoji utaka) are termed as "sarcomas". Usually normal tumors are termed according to the location or type of cells they are formed by.
These include: Fibroma (tantu arbuda), Lipoma (vasa arbuda), Xanthoma (pita arbuda), Chondroma (upasthi arbuda), Osteoma (asthi arbuda), Myeloma (majja arubuda), Myoma (mansa arbuda), Myxoma (slesma arbuda), Giloma (snayu arbuda), Neuroma (nai arbuda), Odontama (danta arbuda), Papilloma (twagankura arbuda), etc. Malignant connective tissue tumors i.e., sarcomas most often grow in the bones, majja (marrow), and skin and are named as Osteosarcoma, Myosarcoma, Fibrosarcoma, etc. Some tumors are also named according to their visible forms, such as Adenoma. Most dreaded of the malignant tumors are the carcinomas. These most frequently grow in the slesma (phlegm or mucus) or outer sleshmic membrane of organs. Prominent locations of these are in the lips, tongue, mouth, small intestine, large intestine, stomach, liver, rectum, etc. Apart from these organs, the female organs more prone to carcinomas are breasts and uterus and the male organs having high risk are urinary organs (mutendriya) and prostate gland.
Usually people above fortyrfive years of age are more prone to these; however, the global records do show the numbers of youngsters suffering from carcinoma are not insignificant. Not only the painful growth, the profuse bleeding from matured carcinomic tumors makes the patient’s condition most pathetic and miserable. In linguist terms, the word meaning of cancer is crab, which is a creature of arthropod family of the animal kingdom. Carcinoma is a word of Greek origin r a conjugation of "carcinos" (which means crab) and "oma" (which means tumor). This means a gaantha (tumor) which is protruded like a crab. The protruded back of the crab consists of a webr like structure of veins. Similar is the appearance of a cancerous tumor.
Crab spreads its paws in all directions and is unpredictable which direction it might move ahead. Similar is the case of the growth of a malignant (cancerous) tumor. It can spread in any direction, no one can predict which one and how. Its roots are hidden deep inside. More than forty types of carcinomas have been identified in modern medical research so far. The ancient texts of Ayurveda refer carcinomas as tridosaj gulma or mahagranthi (c.f. Charak Samhita) and sanghaatik arbuda or tridosaj arbuda (c.f. Shushrut Samhita). As of today, in the modern approach, surgery is supposed to be most effective measure against cancerous tumors. However, even if a single fiber or cell is left behind, there are 100% chances of recurrence.
Prer and postr operative radiation therapies are therefore necessary; however the side effects of these are no less painful. Moreover, this works only if the particular type of cancer is radiationrsensitive. In many cases, chemotherapy is therefore given as a necessary evil. Leukemia or blood cancer is altogether different and more complicated type of cancer, treatment of which requires chemotherapy. In the bone marrow, spleen and other blood producing components start generating excess of white blood corpuscles (WBC). Unless the drug type and doses are compatible with the stage, type and cause of the disease and above all, the genetic configuration of the patient, complete cure cannot be assured. Nowrardays, some kinds of hormonal therapies are also tried but again, only few expert doctors and therapists can do wonders.
Anti angiogenerin drugs are prominently used in chemotherapy, which block the supply of blood and oxygen to the tumor cells. This way the tumor cells and hence the tumor itself is gradually destroyed. Intensity modulated radio therapy, radio frequency ablation, stereo tactic radiortherapy, etc are among the advanced techniques used in treatment of cancers r especially in breast tumor, prostate tumor, neck tumor, brain tumor, heart tumor, etc. Hormone therapy is usually applied in treatment of breast cancer.
This works on the basis of balancing estrogen and progesterone hormones. However, in spite of significant advancements in all the modern methods, the expenses, the sidereffects of killing of the normal cells and disturbance of metabolism, etc continue to limit their applicability at large. With the rise in the frequency of occurrence of varieties of cancers and complications in people’s liferstyle and mindrbody balance, one needs to look at the support of alternative and complementary modes as well. Ayurvedic herbal therapy offers an effective solution here. We are introducing an effective method of yagyartherapy in this context in another article in this very issue of "Akhand Jyoti r The Light Divine".

Know about Pujya Sadguru's Creation in Shantikunj Haridwar

Shantikunj is a Campaign for Awakening of Youth
The youthfulness of Param Poojya Gurudev Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya and Vandaniya Mataji laid the foundation of Gayatri Mission committed to ushering of the New Golden Era. (Akhand Jyoti Mar.April-07)

A Creative Movement for Moral, Intellectual and Cultural Awakening of the Future Leaders of the Nation Introduction As spring is the most vibrant and verdant amongst the seasons, so is youth in the changing phases of life - a fountainhead of joy, enthusiasm, valour and courage. Self-disciplined youth committed to noble ideals are a source of infinite energy leading to ever higher progress and prosperity. History bears testimony to the fact that youth have always established new benchmarks with their wisdom, courage, indomitable energy and strong willpower - be it the domain of materialism or spirituality. Indeed, whatever bright chapters are found in the history of the world, they have been written by the youth.
It is the youthful divine urge of Ekoham bahusyam that created the whole cosmos. The youthfulness of Nature is expressed in the form of its beauty. The youth, Ram, painfully moved by the cultural degradation of his time vowed’Nishichar heen karahu mahi’ (meaning: I vow to eliminate all evil traits from the face of the earth). When the youthful message of the Geeta aroused from within the youthfulness of Partha, the latter won the great war of Mahabharat. The youthfulness of human compassion transformed prince Siddhartha into The Buddha.
The youthfulness of Guru Gobind Singh became a challenge for the tyrants. When youth get surcharged by Tapa (penance), they become Bhagwan Mahavir, Swami Dayanand, Swami Vivekanand, Swami Ramteerth, etc. It is the youthfulness of the martyrs which broke the chains of slavery of Mother India. The youthfulness of Param Poojya Gurudev Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya and Vandaniya Mataji laid the foundation of Gayatri Mission committed to ushering of the New Golden Era.
Youth is the passionate urge to grow both in matters mundane as well as spiritual. Unfortunately, at present we are passing through a dark period of cultural debauchery. Materialistic consumerism and self-indulgence are on their climax; and directionlessness, evil tendencies and lack of creativity are making our young generation hollow from within. Over and above that unemployment, drug abuse, and western style of living are draining off their energies.
In such a dismal situation, it becomes essential to acquaint the youth of our nation with our cultural heritage and make them realize the true purpose of their lives. What is needed for a bright future in the twenty-first century is the total transformation of the present way of life from crass materialism to life affirming spirituality. In order to organize the youth into the nation’s enlightened power, Shantikunj has initiated a nation-wide ’Youth Movement’.
We should visit Shatikunj for the blessing of Pujya Sadguru & pujya Mataji.
Thanks GOD,Thanks Sadguru

Who will give direction to the youth of today-Pujya Gurudev

Who will give direction to the youth of today
The Vision of Poojya Gurudev
                           ( Akhand Jyoti Jan.-fab.10)
Param Poojya Gurudev visualized a revolution in the youth through the medium of education. He wanted the education to change such that Indian culture got prominence. He writes – ‘Education will get the credit for era transformation. True education places a person in a mould and cooks him in the furnace. Education should mould them from top to bottom such that theey become true human beings. Until and unless the education system of Nalanda-Takshasila suitably modified to present-day needs is not devised, transformation will not set in (Excerpt from Kaisa hoga aanevala pragyayug page 5)’.
He again says – ‘Then a person need not pay fee or donation to get educated. Students of all economic strata will be able to study without any fee in universities like Nalanda and Takshashila. They will not only study but also be able to earn their living. Teachers like Sudama will be running these universities’ (page 8). It might look like a utopia to many people. But this is soon going to take the shape of reality. The desire of Mahakal is also on similar lines.
Thanks GOD,Thanks Sadguru.
